The MacDuffie School

运动引领德育教育，活动挖掘学生潜能，本月上海美达菲学校带领新生们在上海之鱼举行了今年新生特色活动—徒步。本次活动旨在提高新生体能、毅力、智慧、沟通、协作等多方面素质。培养师生勇于克服困难的毅力、健康的心理素质、积极进取的人生态度，敢于挑战自我极限的勇气和精诚合作的团队意识。

Sports lead moral education and activities tap students" potential. This month, freshmen in Shanghai MacDuffieSchool had a special activity——hiking in Shanghai Fish . This activity aims to improve the freshmen"s overall qualities of physical fitness, perseverance, wisdom, communication, cooperation and etc. and develope the perseverance of teachers and students to overcome difficulties, healthy psychological quality, positive attitude towards life, courage to challenge their own limits and team awareness.

伴随着阳光，学生们精神抖擞的踏上了徒步的旅程，一边感悟着长途跋涉的艰辛，一边欣赏着漫山遍野的绿色。队伍长长，精神悠悠，只有亲身体验，方知长征背后的意义。

Bathed in the sunshine, the students embarked on the hiking journey in high spirits, feeling the hardships of the long journey and enjoying the lush green. Only through personal experience can we understand the meaning behind the Long March.

长距离的徒步对于很多孩子来说都是挑战。

Hiking long distances is a challenge for many children.

“你怎么样？需不需要去休息一下再走？”

"How are you? Do you need a rest before moving on?"

“没事，我还能坚持。”

"It"s okay, I can hold on."

“坚持”是这次徒步学生的最大收获，没有一个孩子中途放弃，哪怕是走在队伍的最后，也不当“逃兵”。凭着这股韧劲，还有什么困难是不可战胜的呢？

"Persistence" is the best present gained by the students. No child gives up halfway, even if he is walking at the end of the team. Neither is there any deserter. With this tenacity, what difficulties are invincible?

坚持的过程中少不了同伴们的加油打气，有的互相扶着走完全程，有的则用相互聊天为徒步活动增添乐趣。

Cheering up the fellows is indispensable in the process of persisting. Some helped each other to walk the whole way, and others chatted with each other to add fun to the hiking activities.

在阳光下，在烈日里，我们感受着青春的美好，挥舞着青春的汗水，长路漫漫，我们正扬帆起航，相信凭着这股韧劲，靠着彼此间的支持，再大的考验也能够迎刃而解！

In the blistering sun, we feel the beauty of youth; With the sweat of youth we are setting sail, though the road is long. We believe that we can overcome whatever challenges with this tenacity and support from each other.

浩浩的队伍、青春的面容、纯真的笑语，是青春最应有的模样！初秋里，我们亲近生态，感受自然，一同讲述青春的故事，这就是最好的年华里最美的故事。

Longteam, youthful face, pure laughter, are the best symbols of youth! In the early autumn, we are close to the ecology; we feel the nature, and tell the story of youth together. This, is the most beautiful story in our best years.
